Two New Publications
This month we also celebrate the completion of two new titles, on viticulture and ampelography. Prof. PG Goussard of the Stellenbosch University has spent years collating data and photographic material on the various grape varieties cultivated for winemaking in South Africa, and this work is now being published for the first time.
Our team has been hard at work the last few weeks: editing, proofreading, designing lay out, editing again, proofreading again to do justice to the lifetime's work of this dedicated researcher and lecturer.
We are delighted to report that the title Grape Cultivars for Winemaking in South Africa will be officially launched early next year in both Afrikaans and English.
Report: Frankfurt Bookfair 2008
The second edition of The Essential Guide is being revised and updated to offer even more to our readers. The annual Frankfurt Bookfair is the world's largest book-related fair, with a visitor number in excess of 250,000. Cheviot was fortunate to have both The Essential Guide and 100 Words about Weddings at the fair, with our books shown at the Gourmand Awards stand a sure highlight.
